Haunted Shrewsbury DAY FOURTEEN – The Music Hall

Although now whum to the wonderful Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery this used to be the Music Hall and when plays were taking place a “dandy” ghost used to be seen occasionally, standing to the right of the stage and constantly flicking his face with his white handkerchief. He was thought of as a bit of a lucky charm as the production would alus go well whenever he appeared.

Another ghostly visitor is eagerly awaited but we have yet to see her here. On display in the museum is the Corbet bed and in at least three of it’s previous locations a young lady is often seen sat on the edge of the bed, combing her hair.

A strange tale that I have heard a couple of times, Coffee House passage, the shut next to the Music Hall has walls that bleed blood and an eerie voice shouts “GO!”

Pop in tomorrow if you can when we visit the Dingle, oh! and dunna have nightmares.
