Number 1 Fish Street was famous for Rev. Wesley putting in an appearance, but he wasna the only one.
This building used to be a hairdresser’s shop but the opening of it may well have disturbed someone. In the early days staff ‘ould come in to find curlers removed and lying on the floor around a bin.
The owner’s young niece came to stay in the upstairs living accommodation and said that she spent the night talking to the “nice old man” who sat at the foot of her bed.
